W+S GmbH – History and milestones
Beginnings
„W+S GmbH Lackchemie und Aerosol-Technik“ is a medium sized independent company based in Karlstein, lower Franconia. It was founded in 1980 with the aim to produce and sell high quality corrosion protection and zinc coating products. The company started with two products:
WS-Zink® 80/81 a high quality zinc repair paint and WS-Plast® Thickfilm M 4200 which is especially suitable for the coating of galvanized surfaces.
Both products are still the major brands of our company.
Movement to Karlstein
In 1996, the company moved to the present location Karlstein am Main. This movement and expansion were enabled by rising customer demands and an increasing product range. Therefore, it was decided to improve different products like WS-Plast ®, WS-Zink® 80/81 and Galvanal® in the same year® From now on, they should also be available as aerosols.
New possibilities of production
To meet customers’ requirements and to be able to continue an independent production, the company invested in a fully automatical filling machine for aerosols. It realizes the single steps – filling – closing – gassing – marking and labelling – in a completely automatical way and ensures a constant high quality of our products.
Vast service range:
The modern and efficient filling and production machine enabled W+S GmbH to become active as a contract filler and establish in this field in the following years.
With a product range of more than 250 different articles, today W+S GmbH is one of the leading companies in zinc coatings and corrosion protection. The company has 30 employees, who do not only provide an excellent customer service, but also produce approx. 500 tons of lacquer and 2.5 million spray tins a year.
